Her first appearance on TV was during the latter half of 1990 and appeared in a variety of films, like The Woods and Blue Car Murder by Numbers Blood and Chocolate. Bruckner made her debut when she was just 11. In 1999, she was a guest in The Bold and the Beautiful show on the daytime and also in various shows on television. Bruckner performed the role of a teen in Blue Car (2002). The character was a teenage girl who had an affair in a relationship with David Strathairn, her high-school teacher. Film Critic Roger Ebert wrote that Bruckner manages the difficult story with complete conviction. Bruckner was awarded an Independent Spirit Award nomination for "Best Female Lead" in the character. The actress was born with three siblings, one brother and 2 sisters. Her initial language was Hungarian as she often trained in the language to become at a high level. Bruckner was an Hollywood California native born to the Hungarian and a Russian father who had divorced from their mother in the past, was raised by a German paternal grandmother. Her parents grew up in Hungary and moved from Hungary to U.S. in 1984 through the refugee camp located in Italy. She is the mother of two sisters, and one brother.
